Ship Owners' Account Book, 1833-1838.

Account book, bound in burlap with the title of "Journal" on the outside cover, which includes the accounts of several ship owners in the Boston area. Each page carries the title of "Boston" with the date of entry; pages are numbered and a signed ledger balance appears at the end of each year. Sundries are itemized along with purchases of advertising, insurance, stocks, etc.
